Assoc Prof Jon Oakhill

St Vincent’s Institute of Medical Research (SVI) is a leading scientific research organisation dedicated to understanding and addressing major health challenges. Associate Professor Jon Oakhill is the Head of the Metabolic Signalling Laboratory at St Vincent’s Institute of Medical Research. His research focuses on understanding the role of critical metabolic enzymes and kinases, such as AMPK, in diseases like diabetes, cardiovascular disorders, and cancer. With extensive experience, including postdoctoral work at King’s College London and multiple prestigious grants, he is well-qualified as a guest speaker to discuss cutting-edge approaches to metabolic health and disease therapeutics.
